PTI reported that the 300 MW thermal power generation unit of GMR Energy Ltd was synchronized with the grid last week.
The company said that the GMR group is setting up two units of 300 MW capacity each at its Warora Plant on Chandrapur to Nagpur road and one of which was synchronized with the grid on December 10th after several technical trials.
According to Mr Rohit Raaj Mathur,Associate Vice President of GMR Energy Limited,this was its first coal based thermal power unit to be commissioned and the work was on to commission the second unit.
